Project description

The Nexus Underwriting office project set out to create a dynamic, architecturally focused workspace that would act as both a showcase for the business and a hub for staff, brokers, and clients. Located within the historic former London Metal Exchange building, the project combined heritage features with bold, modern design to deliver a striking, multi-purpose workplace.

Our role was to take the space back to Shell and complete a CAT B fit out, this included the design of the lighting and small power installations working alongside Peldon Rose design team to bring the design concepts to the onsite installation.

Project description

Current Affairs delivered the full Shell to CAT A+/CAT B fit-out for this tenant-ready workspace in the heart of St James’s. The unique architectural character of the building made the project particularly distinctive, requiring a bespoke lighting scheme designed to complement the exposed concrete slab and enhance the industrial aesthetic.

Breakout and collaboration areas were introduced within the LG floor arches, creating flexible spaces that blend seamlessly with the building’s original features. Working closely with Ambit Moat from concept to completion, we developed and installed a fully coordinated electrical solution that supports both functionality and visual impact.

The result – a contemporary, adaptable office environment with carefully considered lighting and spatial design that celebrates the building’s heritage.
