Current Affairs worked with M Moser and the Knotel team from the earliest concept meetings and went on to deliver multiple projects over a seven-year period. Beginning with initial site surveys to establish high-level budgets, design requirements, and how each scheme could support Knotel’s tenant-ready business model, we provided technical guidance throughout both design and construction.

This project marked the first of many collaborations between Current Affairs and Loop Interiors for the MYO serviced office concept. Delivered as a CAT B fit-out across ten floors of newly completed CAT A space, the programme ran concurrently and demanded tight coordination and precise delivery.

Over 16 weeks, we completed multiple floors within a fast-paced schedule, creating a mix of private offices, co-working areas, breakout lounges, and a new reception space. The result was a series of flexible, contemporary workspaces designed to support MYO’s growing serviced office model.

Project description

Working in partnership with M Moser we were tasked with designing and constructing the new ” Living Lab” space as the new M Moser London HQ. The project was heavily focused on sustainability to drive the net zero ambitions of the business in all aspects of the design and materials used. Current Affairs worked in close collaboration throughout the project to achieve the overall goal of the Living Lab experience with the architectural team and the technical team. New lighting and lighting control technology were rolled out to allow the concept to come together. The space has been success following the opening with 82% of the team feeling more productive and a 20% uplift in attendance.

The project involved transforming an existing CAT B space into a contemporary, high-performance headquarters for HG Capital — all while the client remained in occupation.

A new central staircase was introduced to improve flow and connectivity between floors, supported by a full installation of new lighting and advanced lighting control systems. Feature lighting was carefully integrated throughout, with a large social and training suite positioned to take full advantage of the building’s iconic views of Tower Bridge and HMS Belfast.

The result – a modern, elegant workplace that blends high-end design with technical precision, delivered in a live environment with minimal disruption.

Current Affairs was appointed to deliver the full electrical installation for the transformation of One Derry Street, working with Thirdway Interiors to create a flagship commercial space in the heart of Kensington.

The 40,000 sq ft project involved a Shell to CAT A fit-out, including telecoms infrastructure, a building-wide fire alarm system, and advanced lighting controls. Key elements of the scheme included UKPN upgrades, end-of-journey facilities and roof terrace services – all delivered with a focus on quality, design and long-term reliability.

Close collaboration with the main contractor and consultants ensured that every stage was completed to the highest standards, resulting in a premium CAT A fit-out that sets the benchmark for future-ready office environments.

The Nexus Underwriting office project set out to create a dynamic, architecturally focused workspace that would act as both a showcase for the business and a hub for staff, brokers, and clients. Located within the historic former London Metal Exchange building, the project combined heritage features with bold, modern design to deliver a striking, multi-purpose workplace.

Our role was to take the space back to Shell and complete a CAT B fit out, this included the design of the lighting and small power installations working alongside Peldon Rose design team to bring the design concepts to the onsite installation.

Current Affairs delivered the full Shell to CAT A+/CAT B fit-out for this tenant-ready workspace in the heart of St James’s. The unique architectural character of the building made the project particularly distinctive, requiring a bespoke lighting scheme designed to complement the exposed concrete slab and enhance the industrial aesthetic.

Breakout and collaboration areas were introduced within the LG floor arches, creating flexible spaces that blend seamlessly with the building’s original features. Working closely with Ambit Moat from concept to completion, we developed and installed a fully coordinated electrical solution that supports both functionality and visual impact.

The result – a contemporary, adaptable office environment with carefully considered lighting and spatial design that celebrates the building’s heritage.
